FORT MYERS, FL. (June 2017) – Vein Specialists is pleased to announce the expansion of their Fort Myers office with the addition of a new state of the art interventional suite including the Volcano intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). IVUS is the most cutting edge catheter based ultrasound technology which allows precise identification and measurement of pelvic vein blockage from within the actual veins. Dr. Magnant offers IVUS, an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia, through a small catheter inserted into the veins under ultrasound guidance. Effective June 1, 2017, the office has begun using intravascular ultrasound diagnostic testing to diagnose and treat patients with signs and symptoms of pelvic congestion syndrome, iliac vein compression syndrome, and pelvic vein obstruction.
