Most Vein Procedures are Covered by Insurance

Accepted Insurance

Venous insufficiency is a medical condition and in many cases the evaluation and treatment of the underlying problems veins is a covered medical benefit under most insurance plans. Patients must first conduct a trial of conservative therapy with exercise, anti-inflammatory medications, compression hose and weight loss, if appropriate, and based on their response to the trial, may be candidates for definitive therapy. We will compose a letter of medical necessity for all of our patients which will be submitted to the insurance carrier for preauthorization (if required by the specific insurance carrier).
