Education & Qualifications

Dr. Magnant earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his General Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals. During his general surgery residency, he served as Chief Resident and earned the prestigious IA Bigger Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Magnant completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.

Dr. Magnant’s lengthy list of professional qualifications as a vascular surgeon include:

  • Member of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS)
  • Member of the American Venous & Lymphatic Society (AVLS)

Dr. Magnant began performing radiofrequency and laser endovenous ablation procedures in 2002. He founded Vein Specialists in Fort Myers in 2006 and in Bonita Springs in 2013 to focus 100% of his efforts as a vascular surgeon on the evaluation and treatment of the full spectrum of vein disease using minimally invasive vein treatment techniques.
