than as individual parts. Most patients will undergo ultrasound
evaluation as part of their comprehensive venous workup to
ensure that any underlying vein problems are addressed before
initiating treatment. Patient education, thorough evaluation and
superior execution of a variety of minimally invasive modern

Approximately 30 million adults in the USA suffer from
treatable venous insufficiency and many patients and primary
care physicians may not be fully aware of the recent advances
that have been made in the treatment of vein problems. Since
vein stripping has been replaced by the endovenous closure
procedures as the preferred treatment of saphenous vein
insufficiency many patients once deemed to be untreatable
are now good candidates for endovenous closure. Dr. Magnant
offers both the VNUS radiofrequency and LASER vein closure
procedures. He is one of the only Board Certified Vascular
Surgeons in Southwest Florida whose practice is 100%
