EDUCATION

Dr. Magnant is dedicated not only to offering leading-edge treatments for venous insufficiency, but also to educating patients on the causes of and solutions to venous insufficiency. His philosophy is to make his educational materials available to all those interested and he encourages patients to make as informed a decision as possible regarding their vein problems.

Dr. Magnant originally trained in general surgery at the Medical College of Virginia from 1985 to 1990. After completing his general surgery internship and residency he went on to complete a Vascular Surgery fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire under Dr. Jack Cronenwett and the other university of Michigan-trained attending staff. He served as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Dartmouth Medical School while there, and upon completion of his fellowship achieved certification by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery. Dr. Magnant has matched his passion for the practice of arterial vascular surgery in his previous practice from 1992-2006 by his current passion for venous evaluation and treatment in his practice at Vein Specialists. He continues sharing knowledge by publishing articles in the mainstream media and offering seminars to further the awareness and the understanding of venous insufficiency and the modern vein treatments available.
