VASCULAR DIAGNOSTICS LAB
The mission of Vascular Diagnostics is to provide minimally invasive diagnostic evaluation of arterial and venous pathology in an outpatient setting. The advances in ultrasound and Doppler technology have allowed more accurate identification and stratification of the full spectrum of vascular diseases over the past 10 years. Our experienced registered vascular technologist, J.T. Jarrard, is very skilled in all areas of vascular technology and has more than 5 years experience as a registered vascular technologist. We can quickly and accurately rule out the presence of potentially life threatening deep vein thrombosis in a matter of minutes and our policy is to work these patients into the schedule as a priority and personally deliver the result to the requesting medical provider immediately upon completion.
Beyond the scope of deep vein thrombosis, we are also able to determine the presence, location and severity of venous insufficiency. More than 30 million adults in the US have signs and symptoms of severe venous insufficiency. On the arterial side of the circulation, we offer the full range of noninvasive testing from arterial segmental doppler evaluation for peripheral arterial disease of the upper and lower extremities. In addition, we offer duplex ultrasound, which is the non-invasive gold standard in the evaluation of cerebral-vascular occlusive disease, renal vascular and mesenteric occlusive disease as well as in the screening of patients suspected to have abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) or those with risk factors for AAA.
